CompleteChecked against Musa CAD 0.8.0Verified

Musa CAD comes set up the way most AutoCAD users expect. When you want it closer to your own habits, these are the places to change.

Type CUI to give any command a key of your own. If the key is already used, Musa CAD tells you what uses it and asks before taking it. The keyboard shortcuts page lists the keys Musa CAD starts with.

An alias is a short name that starts a command, such as L for LINE. Type ALIASEDIT to add your own, change them, or remove them.

Coming from AutoCAD? Click Load… in that window and pick your acad.pgp file. Its aliases are added to yours, and your AutoCAD file is not changed. Your aliases are kept in a file of your own (see where your settings are kept). If you edit that file by hand, type REINIT to read it again.

A workspace remembers how the window is arranged: the palettes, the ribbon and the Quick Access Toolbar. Save the current arrangement with WSSAVE, and switch between saved ones with WORKSPACE.

The Tool Palettes (Ctrl+3) put commands, hatch patterns and the drawing’s blocks a click away.

CommandTypeWhat it does

REINITREINITRead your command aliases (the PGP file) again.
WORKSPACEWORKSPACEMake a workspace current, or save, rename, delete or list them.
WSSAVEWSSAVESave the palettes, the ribbon and the Quick Access Toolbar as they are, as a workspace.
TOOLPALETTESTPOpen the Tool Palettes: commands, hatches and the drawing's blocks a click away (Ctrl+3).
NAVBARNAVBARShow or hide the navigation bar: Pan and the Zoom tools at the drawing's right edge.
UCSICONUCSICONShow or hide the UCS icon, at the origin or in the lower-left corner.

Musa CAD has no built-in macro language yet. Instead, programs outside Musa CAD can write drawings as .musa files, and the musacad command checks and plots them without opening a window. That is enough to generate a whole drawing set from a spreadsheet or a model, and to plot hundreds of drawings in one go.

See Scripting and automation for how, with working examples.
